Welcome

Hi, I’m Shavonne.

I’m a registered dietitian by training, and a homemaker, wife, and mother by vocation — learning, daily, how to live well in the midst of real life.

For a long time, I believed that wellness was something I would finally arrive at once life slowed down. Once things were less busy. Once I had more margin, more time, more energy. Instead, I found myself caught in a cycle many women know well: striving for an ever-moving standard of “health,” feeling overwhelmed by rules and warnings, and secretly wondering if a peaceful, nourishing way of life was actually possible for me.

What ultimately shifted things wasn’t more information — it was a gentler perspective.

Through years of formal training in nutrition, and just as importantly, through the lived experience of caring for a home and family, I’ve come to believe that wellness is not something to be chased or perfected. It is something we abide in — practiced slowly, imperfectly, and faithfully within the rhythms of our everyday lives.

At its heart, Wellness for Womanhood is a lifestyle and wellness blog for women who want to join me in learning to abide well. In a grounded and sustainable way, I share the intentional rhythms, nourishing meals, and daily practices that support both my home and health. This is me sharing my journey and one way things can look to keep you inspired and encouraged. I share what’s working for me, not tell you what to do. Take what you need from this space–and leave the rest if it’s not for you in this season of life (or ever!).

This is a space for me to share what it looks like to:

nourish a home through simple meals
create and adapt thoughtful family rhythms
and embrace ordinary beauty

You won’t find rigid rules, dogma or debates, internet nutrition drama, or any moving targets here. What you will find are reflections, recipes I’m loving, and practical ideas shaped by evidence, experience, and a deep respect for the complexity of women’s lives.

My hope is that this space feels like a place of respite — like we’re sitting in my kitchen, catching up over a cup of coffee or tea–an invitation to slow down, be present and talk about the real stuff; then you leave with ideas that you want to implement right away. And, a reminder that caring for yourself and your home does not require perfection, only presence and intention.

If you’re longing for a grace-based, realistic approach to wellness — one that focuses on what we can do rather than how we aren’t measuring up— I’m so glad you’re here and I hope you’ll stick around to grow with me as we abide in wellness together.

Dear beloved friend in Christ, Special Christian Greetings to you in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who is soon to come. Continue being faithful to Him who called you and sent you for many be called but very few are chosen who are blessed like you. Iam here humbly request crying to you if you can help us Materially in our Missionary work here in Zambia. We are in much need of Local Language Bibles for these Poor Souls who are hungering and thirsting for God’s word but they cannot afford to purchase Bibles on their own in remote areas and Villages. If you want to know more about my Missionary work here is my webpage https://blessministries.org/chabby-chabala
