Hi there, I’m Shavonne.
Let me share with you what I want this blog to be about.
I want to share the truth in love. I want to have a teachable spirit and learn from the perspectives of those around me as I seek to educate others about nutrition as it pertains to women’s health. I want to be unapologetic about what I believe, but not fear correction or be afraid to be wrong. Instead, I want to embrace growth and have grace for myself and others on this journey we are all on together. I want to have conversations that are civil, deeply thought-provoking, and full of both hard truth and compassion. These are the expectations I have set for myself, and my hope is that my readers will embrace a similar approach when they enter this space.
If that’s what you’re about then you are in the right place!
Here’s a few things about me…
I am a follower of Christ. This is the most important thing about me, and whether I discuss it in my posts explicitly or not, making Him known is what I center my life around each day.
I love personality tests! I think they are so fun…that said, guess what Myers-Briggs and Enneagram types I am?
If you guessed INTJ (Introverted-Intuitive-Thinking-Judging) and an Enneagram 1w2 then you are correct! And also very impressive…
This means that I love to think, and I spend a lot of time thinking about deep things. Those closest to me would confirm this, and tell you that I am a passionate person who is constantly seeking to improve myself and is relentless in my pursuit of knowledge and truth. You can usually catch me listening to a thought-provoking podcast about theology or politics these days, but I also love music, art, food, cooking, and holistic health.
I am married to my best friend! That’s such a cliche now that at times it feels strange to say, but I am blessed to say that I feel like I am living in a dream a lot of the time. It’s been a little over a year now, and over six years being together, and with Christ at the center things truly do get better each day.
I love nutrition, and talking to people about how it can benefit their health and help them change their life for the better.
I hope to learn as much as I educate through this blog. I look forward to sharing my ideas and knowledge with you!
