Hi there, I’m Shavonne, a registered dietitian and lover of food.
Like you, I’m busy. For a long time, I decided I was too busy–too busy to make the healthy changes I knew I needed to make to live the healthiest life I could.
The healthy lifestyle I dreamed of seemed like a distant, unattainable goal that I was tirelessly sprinting after, with an ever-increasing standard and a growing list of “boogie man” products or foods to be avoided like the plague.
This cycle of worry, overwhelm, desperation, and defeat led me to a point where I wondered if the healthy lifestyle I wanted was even possible for me. I knew others had done it, but it seemed too far-fetched for my busy self.
So, with a passion for nutrition and a love for delicious food, I decided to pursue nutrition as my passion and field of study. After five years of study and hard work, I can say I have learned a lot about health and nutrition.
During this time I also discovered my passion for nutrition education and embraced my creative side by starting this food blog and pursuing freelance writing. These pursuits play well together and allow me to utilize my gifts in a way I wasn’t sure was possible in an analytical, science-driven field.
My goal with this blog is to encourage other women to pursue their health goals in a sustainable and practical way. Unrealistic standards and “one-upping” are rampant in the health and wellness space, and I hope to add something different: recipes and evidence-based information that you can actually understand and use in your daily life if you’re busy, driven, and goal-oriented like me (i.e., you know what you want but you need an expert you can trust to help fill in the gaps for you so you can get there).
If that’s what you’re looking for then you are in the right place!
Dear beloved friend in Christ, Special Christian Greetings to you in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who is soon to come. Continue being faithful to Him who called you and sent you for many be called but very few are chosen who are blessed like you. Iam here humbly request crying to you if you can help us Materially in our Missionary work here in Zambia. We are in much need of Local Language Bibles for these Poor Souls who are hungering and thirsting for God’s word but they cannot afford to purchase Bibles on their own in remote areas and Villages.
