Everyday Green Smoothie

by Shavonne Morrison MS, RD, LD
Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

This everyday green smoothie is a simple, fast way to get your daily greens in. With lots of vitamin C, K, A, fiber, and protein, this smoothie is full of the nutrition you need to start your morning off well. Enjoy it any time as a snack, too!

Struggling to get your greens in each day? SAME.

The USDA recommends adults have at least 2 1/2 cups of vegetables and 2 cups of fruits each day. Unfortunately, most adults do not get enough daily.

It’s important to get enough fruits and vegetables daily to give your body all the benefits they provide: fiber, vitamins, minerals, and best of all–energy to fuel your body well!

One of the simplest ways to increase your intake of fruits and vegetables is to blend them up and take them with you in a convenient little container–enter, the smoothie! In a few minutes, you can start your day with a nutritious breakfast; you can also prepare them any time of day as a healthy snack!

How to Make This Everyday Green Smoothie

This recipe couldn’t be more simple. All you need to make this smoothie is a blender, some measuring cups and spoons, and well…the ingredients of course!

Gather all of your ingredients, measure ’em and place them in your blender.

Next, blend on high for 1-2 minutes until smooth. You can add more water or milk until the smoothie reaches your desired consistency.

That’s it! See how simple that is?
