Ingredients

  • 1 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips dark chocolate can be used as well!
  • 1 whole Terry's Dark Chocolate Orange
  • 1 medium orange, zested you need at least 2 tbsp of zest from this orange; 1 tbsp to go into the fudge and 1 tbsp to garnish!

Instructions

  • Prepare an 8x8 baking dish by lining it with parchment paper and lightly greasing it with butter or a cooking spray.
  • Fill a small saucepan with water until it is about 1/4 full. Bring this water to a gentle boil, meanwhile filling a medium bowl with all ingredients except the orange zest. I recommend giving your orange chocolate ball a "whack" as the packaging suggests, rather than placing an in-tact ball into the bowl with the other ingredients. This will ensure it melts evenly and quickly!
  • Once the water in your saucepan comes to a low boil, place the medium bowl on top of the sauce pan. The steam rising up from the saucepan will gently melt the fudge mixture. Be sure to stir it frequently so all of the flavors blend together evenly.
Note: If you make sure to watch your melting fudge mixture carefully, you can zest your orange while it melts!
  • Once the fudge mixture is completely melted, remove it from the saucepan and immediately add 1 tbsp of orange zest. If you want your fudge to be more chocolate-y than orange-y, you can skip this step!
  • Next, pour the fudge mixture into your prepared baking pan, spreading it to the edges so it's in an even layer. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp orange zest or desired garnish.
  • Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or preferably overnight. Remove from fridge, cut into 16-20 squares and enjoy! Store in the fridge for up to two weeks.
